Pottery Experiences
Pottery Experiences
Creativity plays an important part in children’s holistic development and later in our adult lives when it is a very sought-after characteristic.
As a qualified Montessori teacher, I combine my ceramic making and teaching skills providing pottery experiences for children in the Early Years settings and Primary Schools.
These pottery experiences support the emergence of creativity in young children, stimulate their curiosity and foster appropriate opportunities for self-expression. Within a safe environment of their educational setting, the children are provided with the opportunity to get a hands-on experience of clay and are introduced to a variety of modeling and decorating techniques.
The workshops are accessible to all, regardless of age and ability, and can be adapted to suit different age groups and stages of development. They can range from a sensory play exploring clay in all its forms, or can be designed to fit within a curriculum theme or topical subject.
There is no mistakes in pottery – just creative, fun, learning experiences.
The pottery experience can be provided on a day or half-day basis. All the materials and tools are provided. Following the session, the created ceramic work is taken for the firing and glazing and dispatched back to you, or brought back to be glazed by the children and then taken for the final firing.
Please contact me should you wish to discuss the content, prices and availability of the pottery experiences.
